Carrie Callaway
Carrie Callaway has represented clients in a wide variety of real estate transactions for over 20 years, with an emphasis on retail and office leasing from both the landlord and tenant perspective, and the purchase and sale of commercial property. Her clients have included technology companies, regional developers, financial institutions, and global retailers. Ms. Callaway takes pride in working efficiently and proactively with her clients’ legal teams and business partners to handle complex and often time-sensitive transactions.
As a partner at Pennington LLP, Ms. Callaway continues her work with The Gap, Inc., where she has represented Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic, and, more recently, Athleta and Intermix, in office leasing and retail leasing matters throughout the United States and Canada for 15 years. Ms. Callaway has negotiated hundreds of lease transactions involving well over 3 million square feet of office, industrial and retail space. Her expertise includes new construction deals, downsizes, lender interface, and terminations, representing landlords, lenders, and tenants. Ms. Callaway’s experience, which began during the real estate downturn in the early 1990s, allows her to share insight with her clients derived from working in every market condition, from boom to bust. (For the record, she prefers boom.)
